The application to enlist is open to anybody.
The pilot will be required to fly a check ride with the Pilatus PC-7 Astra MkII, SAVAF's ab-initio trainer for fixed wing and helicopter pilots, to prove that he/she can maintain full control of it. The following tolerances must be adhered to:
The pilot will be required to fly a given route and must show their ability to navigate by means of the following Navigational Aids:
When you pass this test, you will receive the rating for the PC7 and two official SAVAF call signs. The first one is to be used while flying any of the rated aircraft, the second one is to be used while training on another aircraft you would like to get rated
